Was the rumen scroll ever broken? o.O I used one ok when I last played today...
Anyway, the relog glitch is exactly that...a glitch. You're not supposed to be able to get that far if you need to use it, you're supposed to warp back, and yes, as frustrating as it is, work back to where you died.
