It's because you die less if your party has a cleric. And in party, you have bigger chance of leeching exp off a mob than solo'ing (many dmg > one dmg)

Of course you can be a meanie and just stand...

I'm going for full END and getting STR equipment. I don't think 180-200 dmg at lvl 20 is too low to need STR. And the higher def you have, the better invincible is :D

What she (she ?) probably meant was that you shoot the monster one to get it close to both of you, then both of you pound on it. That will save time for the cleric to run around pounding monster, now...
