Make the friggin coffee!!!

So I woulda like to put this in a spam-all-the-rage forum, but meh…

Where I work we have a free coffee bar…free! Awesome right? The only catch is that the employees must make the coffee. Now this is a cafeteria-style coffee machine, which just means it is hooked up to the building’s water supply and is freakin’ huge. It makes a 1-gallon size pot (carafe, urn, udder?) of coffee at a time.

However, this coffee machine is *no harder* to use than any other.
  • dump out old filter/grounds (if applicable)
  • put in new filter
  • dump in PREPACKAGED amount of coffee grounds
  • slide holder back in
  • press the GIANT RED BUTTON that says “Brew”
Ta da! 5 minutes later, another gallon of go-juice…

So…
If you drain the pot make some more!!! That way u can leave with your cup-of-joe and the next guy (usually me) doesn’t have to do all the steps and then wait 5 minutes…
If you think you can take the heat, you can even empty the one pot into the other (yes we have 2, 1gallon pots) if you notice its low and then make another pot (for advanced users only).

GRRR…seriously, this is like 1in1out for beers in the cooler…like 1 or 2 rungs above “share” and “flush”!

Sry…just needed to vent :/

…basic office courtesy /mumbles

OMG!!!!!
Trust me, I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. We have 2 pots also. The concept is to fill both, when one is empty, start another one. Thatway there is a constant supply of coffee. I can't stand it when both pots are empty. What really ticks me off, is has you are walking in the kitchen and you pass someone with a cup of coffee and they are merrily on their way, then you realize THAT is is the idiot who just emptied the pot and is too damn lazy to make more. I have thought evil little thoughts about people like that.

YEAH!

Thats actually exactly what happened to me...there are like 200 ppl that work on my floor, about about 5 of us that make coffee...

Another thing that ticks me off is ppl that leave their spills and stuff for others to either clean up for them or muddle thru to get their coffee or wotever:mad:

false sense of entitlement.

I work for this company so i don't need to clean up or make coffee.

Once, a person i didnt know splashed coffee all over the bar...prolly about 1/4 of their cup...

They then decided to turn and were about to leave...

I actually stopped them and just said something like "oh hey, I was about to get some coffee...would you mind wiping that up?" in a completely friendly way! The guy actually sniffed at me then walked by me anyhow!!!

Well, we all have name badges and I caught his last name...apparently he was some director of a department...apparently above cleaning up after himself /FTL

- goes to make a pot of coffee -

Above himself to clean-up coffee? Right, so he goes and get FREE coffee from the office? Lol Some people amuse me.

I used to be an apprentice at a hair salon. And one week I had to help out at the main location. Which everyone dreads because the stylists are 99.9% bitchy and thinks they're better than anyone else. Not to mention the workload. Now, the workload isn't as bad as I had thought cause it keeps you busy throughout the day.

It's the end of the day that kills ya. There's a sign on the fridge that says anything that is left there at the end of the day will be thrown into the trash regardless. Oh well, but then they leave their half eaten sandwiches and what not all over the tables. Seriously... what the heck? Do you leave garbage and food all over your house too? o_O Then there's the numerous amount of coffee cups which were meant for clients but they use it up too. And do they at least 're-use'? Nope. Then the company says crap about saving the environment... psh.
