Grand Chase
I knew this game was out in English somewhere and I've finally found it. I played this in the Japanese server and it's so different from your usual "grinding". Real-time fighting with job advances and best of all, PvP as well as survival stages.
If anyone wants to try it out: http://grandchase.ntreev.net/ Let me know what you think. :3 EDIT: You have a choice of three classes. Elesis the swordsman Lire the archer Arme the mage |
I tried it out a couple of months ago. It took me awhile to figure some things out, and I still pretty much have trouble with it. xD But kinda fun for when I'm bored.
The easiest was the sword wielding girl for me, and the hardest was... Hmm... I say archer girl and magician girl were pretty even. Just need to spend a more time getting use to how their attacks work and stuff (tried reading stuff, but didn't pay attention to what I was reading, haha). I didn't play much though so they are only level...5? Appearance wise, I think the archer girl has the prettiest costumes. Now that I think about it, in certain games that are kinda like this, I preferred archer a lot of times (usually due to looks) if they have the archer class. |
Zucchini wanted me to play it with her. D:

It looks really confusing, even from the guides I've read *O* I couldn't even figure out if it was an ordinary MMO where you grind/party with other people, LOL I just scrolled down and saw that the cap was raised to 45 or something, so does that mean each level is hard to gain~? o-o |
Are you going to play it? D:
|
Probably not o-o but I dunno. |
it's pretty easy to play in my opinion :S although the job change is pretty hard not to mention getting Ronan. it's kinda like maple story in a sense an not in a sense lol. But if u want a brief summary of the game play u basically have your arrow keys for movement, and one attack key which u use to attack or grab or special. Then u have item keys for replenishing your hp or sp, last but not least u have the emoticon buttons lol. For the actual lvling or grinding parts of the game u have two options an that is the "dungeon" or "pvp" for dungeon u will have a selection of maps u get to choose from with the options of creating a room or enter a pre-existing room. Each room can hold from one to 4 players. Once u start the game u required to clear the room of all monsters to advance. However for some dungeons u have the option of rushing or all-map, meaning u can do 6/9 of the rooms (rushing) or 9/9 (all-map). As for pvp...it's sorta self explanatory ^_^ u basically set up a room with 2-6 players to duke it out with in survival (free-for-all) or team battle. Hope the little summary of mine was helpful to anyone interested in playing :S

My internet was slow last night so I finally got it downloaded. Gonna try it out once I get home and installed.
Btw, anyone know the difference between this and Elsword? I saw some videos and the gameplay was similar but it was more 3D-ish and the stages were less side-scrolling and had a camera following you. |
I played it for about a week... it was fun for that week.
|
It's probably fun while waiting for maintenance and whatnot. A quick breather from your usual grinding.
