Move everything you can't turn off off the screen (KQ Timer/hearts, system message box, if you're in a Party, ban yourself from it)
The screenshot should tell a story.
The screenshot should be compelling.
Be aware of your surroundings (taking a screenie in the middle of the marketplace with everyone shop signs beaming at you, not a good idea)
Be very aware of your surroundings (like a good photographer, take a look at lighting conditions on the map you're on, either very dark or very bright maps seem to work best)
Be aware of the mob! (if you're taking screenies with mobs, be aware of what they're looking at and the condition they're in. debuffed mobs don't make for great screenies. i don't want green, poisoned mobs, or darkened, slowed mobs, or even dizzied, stunned mobs.. let em fight!)
It may take u an hour to get a great screenie, i know it does for me. i constantly take and retake. review it, delete it and try it again.
some tips:
take the screenie just before the skill hits the mob, that way it eliminates the damage # popup/crit animation.
zoom in. if the view is too far out, the screenie is typically unusable.
