Cleric, Archer, Stone, Scroll

Okay, I have a serious problem here... in my opinion...

I have a Cleric who can make Scrolls and Pots and an Archer who can make Scrolls and Stones.

The problem is, that I have the money to support my Cleric (main) with the stones he needs by buying them off of other players.

I do not however, have the money to support buying mats. for 3 different production skills.

I was thinking about deleting my Archer and making a different character who has the ability to create and break apart mats.

The only problem is, my archer is me and my friends play character.

(He has an Archer of the same level as my archer.)

What should I do?

Just quickly remake the new character or what?

Or you could find someone who can decomp and comp for you. I decomp and comp for my friends all the time for free. All they give me is the mats and the alchemy stones.
Maybe someone on here that is in Apoline will respond.

What does it mean to "decomp" and "comp?"

Hmm... So you've got two characters making scrolls?

I'll advice for you to have only one of the character doing scroll production. So let say you make 200 scrolls (100 scrolls for cleric, and 100 scrolls for archer), if you have just your cleric doing the scroll productions, the cleric will have 200 scroll points, which means you'll reach your next scroll production skill quicker...

Materials can be transfered between characters through Storage...

I'm not sure what you mean by "my archer is me and my friends play character." So your friend plays the cleric? You two share an account?

What I do is to make a 3rd character with comp/decomp skill, and transfer the materials through storage... will that help?

EDIT: Comp = Composition
Decomp - Decomposition

Decomposition is when you break a higher Tier material into a lower Tier Material..

For example, Tender Meat is a T2 material, you can decomp a Tender Meat into 11 Tough Meat (a T1 material), so you can make T1 potions with the Tough Meat...

Sorry, I didn't make this very clear...

He has an archer and I have an archer. We play as the archers when we both are on. While he is off (which is a lot of the time,) I play as my main, the cleric.

Does that clear things up a bit?

I would rather not make another character... idk why, but I just feel right doing so... LOL.

If you have already dumped points into each respective alchemy field, then there is no point to deleting.

However, I would suggest against Material Composition and/or Decomposition if you do not have the capital necessary to fund it. Material Decomposition cannot generate profit; the products you make with other skills counterbalance this.

The archer I have has virtually no alchemy points, I've transfered most of the mats. over to my main.

So, what you're saying is, to make a new character with mat. decom.

Taking the high mats I get from my lvl 36 main, breaking them down, selling some, then using the left overs to make scrolls, pots, etc?

Yeah, I dont know if this is gonna complicate things, but this is how i see it...

(if it gets too confusing then ignore this XD)

You picked up 2 Tender meat (T2), and 2 Magic Crystal (T2)

You Decomp it into 22 Tough meat, and 38 Magic Crystals (T1)

That amount of material is sufficient for you to make 19 SP T1 Potions..

You sell them for 30c Each.

COST: 4 alchemy stones, about 60c for 4. Tender meat, potentially 100c (NPC price), and Magic Crystals, potentially 120c.
Total Cost: 280c.

REVENUE: 19 pots x 30c = 570c

PROFIT: 290c

But yes, you'll have to spend a bit of Alchemy stones to get that to the experience points to be able to decomp meat and crystals. (And archers need to save up their Fame points for level 60 skill.) But you can always use your cleric's fame points.

OKAY, we have a REALLY big problem now...

I don't normally do quests...

My cleric 1,396 fame points from his entire career as a cleric...

Hessah 05-16-2008 02:20 AM

You can set up a shop to buy alchemy stones...

Alchemy Stone 1 are usually about 10-20c (depending on how much time you've go to vend)
