What does that bar with the yellow line do when you mine or pick flowers?

Click on the yellow line when the green bar is right under it to speed things up.

You have to double click though. Not totally sure about that but it never worked for me when I clicked once so I always double click. Doesn't do anything really, just makes you finish mining faster.
