I always overprice my items. You can always bring the price down if you price it too high but you can't raise the price of an item after you've sold it.

Price the staff a silver or two above the NPC price and price the armor 5-10s above NPC price and see if it sells.

Alright, so a silver for the staff and two silvers for armour?

Do some research and look up the prices at the NPC. Add the silvers ONTO that.
