I just logged onto facebook... and realised that there's a thing on the side that said "people you may know" (not sure if that's a new feature, but i only just discovered it)

and under that is a list of ppl where they are friends with at least 4 of my friends....

most are acquaintance from uni, or school.... where they're friends with other ppl from uni / school...

but there's one or two that's friends with ppl i met from completely different places...

for example.. there's this girl, who's friends with my:
1. Uni friend
2. Primary school friend (that didnt go to my uni)
3. A friend's friend (who didnt go to my uni nor primary school)

And i'm pretty sure all 3 ppl doesnt know each other...

i just found it strange... Welcome to Facebook, the Stalking Tool.

They probably use the "extended network" feature. Basically theyre probably people who are the friendslist of people who are on your friendslist.

I've been debating on making a facebook lately.

Don't. You can't delete your account, and I'm sure you'll get annoyed with it eventually.

Plus it's the biggest stalking tool ever. It was fun and all at first but afterwards it pisses me off LOL

Are you sure you can't delete your account? I *think* you can but it might involve e-mailing some admin person or something.

I dunno.

I think one of my friends had her account deleted after she fell off the face of Facebook.

I'll make one if I can find the one I love on it lol

oh yeah... Facebook uses the BIGGEST network thingy...

but my point was that... i've got all these frds that i've met from different times of my life, different places, different connections.. and they all end up knowing the same person....

dont talk about 6th degree of separation.. i think there's only 2-3 degree here...

I thought Sydney was bigger than that! HAHAHA

yes u can delete your account, my mother deleted hers.

and how is it a stalking tool.... u must accept your people before they
can even look at your page, just make sure your not in extended networks
or any big networks....

well, if I stalk her and find her, I can get her
good idea, yes?

I noticed that too. It's kind of weird how people added me as their "friends" when, even though I know them from high school, I've rarely spoke to.

Or people who I didn't even like... o__o
