do shields block magic attacks?

Whilst in this topic, I'm curious is skills can be evaded to, as this would greatly effect my build. Anyone know yet?

Magic can miss. It's only happened to me when I was fighting stuff ridiculously over my lvl though. Such as that Mara Pirate's invasion event. I couldn't hit a single one.

Yes like rightclaw says that the chance of missing increases as the level of the monster increases.

its not as much as the level of the monster increases, its the ability to dodge, evasion

just that higher lvl monsters have higher lvl dex, and have you seen mages dex amount? they get a pretty decent raise for hitting, if they didnt, they would be missing all the time
