I must be going crazy! How do I move the text box so it's not in the middle of my screen?!

Sometimes it is tricky & you just have to catch one edge at a time and pull it in the direction you need it to go.

And if all else fails maybe go into the option menu and choose something like reset interface.

What works for me is, to click and drag the tabs of the box. Like, the Guild, Party, Whisper etc tabs.

hold one of the tabs and pull to your place you desire
