Question about a Cleric build.
 
There are two different types of Cleric builds, right? I know of the "Battle Cleric" build which is 2:1, STR/END, correct? But what is a build for a "Support Cleric"?

I believe the other build is 25 SPR, rest END...

Really? I figured it would be something along the lines of 2:1, END/SPR.

^ I think that's more the support build... whatever ratio you like but that sounds good.

i guess u can do that too if u feel like ur cleric need more defence and HP... at earlier stages... or even 1:1 END:SPR until SPR gets to 25...

25 SPR rest END is the end result of the build...

Its just that the last time I was a Cleric I noticed I used up a ton of SP every time I cast a spell so I figured raising SPR beyond 25 would help with that a bit but I highly doubt it. So 25 SPR then the rest END?

That's the build I'm using and I'm a support cleric. You also would wanna take into account the type of skills you empower, e.g. sp consumption and stuff to help you out with your SP. Capping SPR at 25 is fine for me. True, we use a lot of SP, but by the time I need to go back to restock, usually another party member will need to do the same, so I think that's about right.

64 cleric with a 25 SPR, 50 END 4 DEX build.


Broke the 3k SP mark with a few SPR equips if you want a very rough estimation
of how much SP you'll get with this build.


"Pure" support builds are actually full-end, as you'll do too little damage to solo without +9s and be able to take aggro when spam-healing.

Alright, then 25 SPR and the rest END it is! I tried the "Battle Cleric" build but adding 2:1, STR/END, really didn't affect the damage I was doing by much. I pretty much just wasted all those points in STR. Thanks for all the help guys.

after playing a fighter... u'll know how much SP us clerics actually have and how much MORE Sp stones we can carry! so i didnt think going beyond 25 SP was necessary (maybe u thought clerics suck SP up rather quickly coz u're used to playing a mage with a much bigger SP pool)

you should decrease ur SP consumption in Heal... bash is the other skill i'd consider decreasing SP consumption, but if u're gonna be a support cleric u probably wont be using it all that often... just just food for thought...
