Sorry if this has been suggested before, but it would be nice for the community..

lol yes a shoutbox would be nice :D...oh Mighty Keetos give us shoutbox pwease!

Mountain of spam fits the job nicely.

If we have a large number of members (which we will), the shoutbox will be FLOODED with spam.

Shout Box would be a bad idea IMO.

1) It'll lag the board.
2) There will be large amounts of spam when this board increases its member count.
3) Chat already exists, you only need to encourage people to use it.
4) If you wanted to spam, MoS would vent that frustration.

I agree with the three posts above me.

I sometimes go on a forum which has a chatbox at the top and it's really annoying because I always have to scroll pass it down the page, and it bugs me how I have to keep scrolling down all the time. D: Of course, that forum's layout wasn't really the best, but yeah. Dx It's going to look messy once we start spamming in it.

Besides, it's going to work similarly to live chat anyway if people start talking on it.

Sorry guys I can't grant you this one. We're going to be a big community soon and that will terribly lag everything up.

Bandwith problem also?

meh i suppose it might be...dunno about the lag part...I've used plenty of sites with shoutboxes and with large amounts of members with no lag. As for mountain of spam?...lol waitin on post replys is boresome..I've used the Chat a few times doesnt ever seem to be anyone in it.
