I just saw this on Tycho's post from Penny Arcade. This guy Johnny Lee came up with the idea of using the Wii remote for head tracking and it's pretty cool for the technophiles out there. You can skip to around 2:30 if you just wanna see the end results and skip the how-to.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty amazing. I'd heard of this (head tracking) before, but I've never seen it in action and that this guy adapted the Wii controller for it is genius. He's got a few other Wii remote projects too, but this one is the most impressive.

I got a Wiimote to work as a mouse pointer once.

$40+ down the drain. xD

Wow, when he did the stadium one, it was like he looked out the window instead of the TV. Awsome.
