procuring potion mats...

I'm kinda confused about this. If beast type monsters drop meats, human types drop signs, and spirit types give spirit drops, why aren't any spirit items dropping when I kill the right monsters?

I think I've messed up a bit too. I bought my pot prodution skills early on, but I always forgot to stock up on spirit fruit. NOW, when I go to kill these types of monsters, they don't drop it. I'm lvl. 19, so I guess I'm too high for m. greenkys, but I'm obviously too low to drop a prock. Where else can I get spirit fruit?

Are kebings Spirit mobs? they might drop them too...

and if u've been Getting T2 Spirit Fruits, you can probably find someone to help you Decomp them into T1 so u can use it for ur T1 Potions...

Apparently Smart Phinos drop them too~ cant remember if they're your level though..

This page might give u a rough guide:

I had the same issue when i started. You should start a second farmer character (i reccomend mage or archer cause you can level quick and kill stuff pretty easily) and farm for drops. Some people say to ride the hell out of your mule/farmer character and then delete them when they get to high. Instead, i gave my alternate character decomp. He's a level 5 cleric w/ several thousand skill points in decomp. I literally have too many mats for storage.

This is too true!

Once you get to be lvl 19 or so, you should be able to save enough money to buy a +5 or +6 lvl 1 weapon. This investment will be well worth the price. Because with this weapon, you can go and 2 or 3 hit kill most all the mobs all the way up to lvl 14 or 15.

Once you hit lvl 30 or so I think you outgrow a need for farmer characters because you are getting t2 drops that can be decomped. The importance of decomp skills cannot be stressed enough! If your main character doesn't have it, then a secondary one should.

Since all 4 of your characters share the same inventory, it is important to use this to your full advantage.

I too am at the point that even with 4 characters, I have too many things and not enough room to store them.

The only problem with decomp is that is is so hard to work and can get very expensive. But, yes, at low levels having alts do your farmig for you is the best thing to do. That is why my archer and cleric are both still in their 20s. I only work them when I need mats.

Man, why didn't I think of this? Using an alt. to get mats is a great idea! Thanks guys!!!
