Randomly this number started pranking my phone once a day since 3 days ago....

it just rings once and hang up... (I actually picked it up the first time but they hung up on me)

Googled the number and they're some telesales thing... looks like people's been called by this number from at least 3 years ago...

It's annoying that I don't know how I got onto their call list!

Btw I got a random sms from "FACEBOOK" saying I won money or some crap...

How come sms can appear with a NAME on it when it's not even in my contacts?

Could a person calling me show a number that isn't actually the line they're calling from?

I don't know about Australia, but in India you can rent message channels for which you can put in a custom name. They don't have a number as such. Advertisers use them a lot here.

I wont be surprised if that msg came from India then...
