Colour laser printers
Are they uncommon these days?
Looking for a colour laser printer at work but when I go on sites like Epson and Canon they don't really sell colour laser printers. Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong brands.. I see HP selling a few but I hate HP inkjets, not sure about lasers... We only need a small laser printer and not multifunction ones because we can use the big printer in the other office for scanning and photocopying and stuff, but it seems like they're not very common... I googled a few links and the first two I clicked were reviews from 2010 o_O |
hmm looking at Brother/Samsung/Fuji now..

I think they're really expensive. I mean the machine itself is cheap... printers in general are nowadays. But it's the toners that really break the deal.
It's convenient to have one in your office but if you have a local print shop whom you can sent files to print for you. They will end up being cheaper in the long run if you do large batch printing. Oh yeah, don't get Lexmark. My bf got it and it was shit cause you couldn't even buy the toners anymore. Which is another thing... make sure that whatever you buy is still being supported... ie still produces toners, lol. |
OMGGGG we currently have a lexmark and it's going senile. Agreed on the toner thing, we can only buy it from one place online now.
Yeah, we can't get it to print some where else though, it's for every day use and it would be inconvenient to get our bits and pieces printed at another store. However they are really expensive like you said... Maybe well get a black and white one and print colour at the other printer. We see just |
We are just reluctant to use the other printer Cos the accountant makes a huge deal about charging us for using their colour ink
|
I think there's not a lot of them coz they're not very cost friendly to homes, and a company would typically get a multi-function one...
Have you got any restrictions though? Like price and things? Looks like Harvey Norman only has 2... http://www.harveynorman.com.au/compu...nters-scanners I know you said you don't need one that's multi function... but if it comes with it then.. why not? keke |
Dick Smith has two by Brothers:
