Got 2 questions
 

1. Is there any pk in Closed Beta? ( Im guessing no)
2. What are the licences for? Ive got a few but I have no idea what they do

1. If you guild war you can pk, tho you cant kill anyone without it, not even duels...
2. Licenses make your weapon stronger aganist the tipe of monster that says in the license, for exemple, if you have a smart phinos license it give you 15% more dmg aganist smart phinos.

is the Damage increase just automatic because you carry the licence or do you need to do something special with it?

you need to combine it with your weapon, to do that just go to NPC Zach in Roumem.
