Japanese Salad Dressing
Loveless might be able to help me on this..
I'm totally in love with Japanese salad dressings, but I don't know how to find it / make it.. I don't even know what they're called~ I Googled Japanese Salad Dressing and of course there's more than one type... I'm looking for that orangey / brown dressing that usually has a layer of oil sitting on top.. it's the most typical dressing that you usually get in most Japanese salads.. usually goes with finely chopped cabbage i think.. looks sort of like this salad.. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2325/...871decfd62.jpg |

Hmm... not sure what that's called either.
I can tell you what you need though... I usually make mine with the following stuff. Rice Vinegar Ponzu (or Soy Sauce if you don't have the former) If you use Soy Sauce I'd recommend adding lemon juice and zest. and Sesame Oil (and Sesame Seeds if you like them too) A lot of them also has daikon oroshi. And I eyeball the amount so just add things to taste. Roughly a cup of vinegar and a table spoon of ponzu/soy sauce. EDIT: The wiki for ponzu sucks... just Google and go to Images, you can see the bottles, lol. I think Australia should have some... we did get our Japanese textbooks from you guys. :P |
Oh! Is that what he lumpy stuff are?! cool!!
goes on our shopping list for tonight =D =D Shall check out the Asian aisle for Ponzu... Thanks Loveless~ |

Unless you are an (female) animal that produces eggs I don't think you can make eggs.

Lightly grease a frying pan. Crack and egg or two into the pan, let them whites whiten up some, then start pushing them around the pan to fluff them up and cook them thoroughly. Easiest way to make eggs.
Or you could look up how to make them in the microwave. That takes like 2 minutes :P |
If you know how to boil water, just boil water and put the egg in there.
Then if you know how to read the time, wait 6 minutes and you'll get a cooked egg. Make sure you peel the shells before eating it. |
