Sony Bluetooth Headset
 

So I got these bluetooth headphones when I was in Japan..

And I only just started using it with my iPhone to listen to music today, and realise that my right earpiece isn't working.

I found a PDF manual here and it talks about all these A2DP / AVRCP and HFP / HSP profiles.

It looks like the iPhone 3GS supports all of the above, am I suppose to change my bluetooth profile on my phone or the headset so that it'll work in both earpiece and not just 1 like a hands-free?
