Oh ffs...
What the hell are you supposed to do when your boss is avoiding your calls.
If I was asking for a raise (which I should tbh; and have been told to by my clients too, lol) or wanting to quit then sure you might want to avoid talking to me but I'm asking for freaking quotes. To get the damn job done. Argh. :hulksmash::hulksmash: |
Leave a message saying its urgent and if the customer gets pissed off its his fault? o:
|
He does't know how to use his phone so his voicemail is always full.
And because he forgets everything so easily it becomes my fault. |
I'd seriously consider finding another job from all of the stories you've told us.
|
I am looking for a new job. Desperately.
The only (and biggest) problem is that there's a LOT of designers looking for jobs in Vancouver (though probably not limited to) and none who are willing to pay up the amount that is even barely touching min standard wage for graphic designers. I single-handedly man a store. Granted it's not stupidly busy but that on top of actual design work, discussing jobs with clients, and managing some accounts. With a side order of technical stuff well... yeah. |
Just make up your own quotes. That'll learn 'em. I did that a few times back when I worked at a few places. I always tacked on some surcharges for the hell of it. Quite a few of them were still ordered, and I pocketed the rest.

Hm... I think I'd rather have a more relaxed workplace with less pay than a nice paying job where I do work beyond my job description and my boss is an incompetent ass who ignores me and takes advantage of me. But I guess sometimes that's easier said than done. People do have bills to pay.
I'd at least leave yourself out there, join job sites, put up ads on craigslist, etc. Until then, demand a raise xD Or what Hrae said! Lol. Think of it as tip. |
Lol Hrae always with sound advice. x)
I have made a couple of people leave today giving them a nice charge on computer use. Only because they looked like a nasty bunch and they proved it when mumbling out the door. :> |
Not nice when the boss avoid your call.. My boss has been avoiding another colleague.. it's so funny to see that he's barely at work when she's at work, and when she's on holiday, he's there 5 days a week..
Does he check email? I generally just send an email, then consider that out of my hands. If he doesn't reply and someone else chase me I just say "it's in the boss' hands". |
