These riots are starting to get a little unnerving, with riots now starting to breakout in liverpool near where I live I'm started to get a little worried.

As far as I'm aware the cause of all these riots was a police officer shooting a taxi driver ? But I'm pretty sure now its just the Chavs joining in on pointless violence.

I was in London the last time people rioted (for cuts to public employees) and I thought that was pretty bad. But these just look outright scary.

The last riot I heard about was when they upped the prices of universities to like £9k a year

But it's really housing that's expensive in London.


It was around March of this year. I remember the university riots because someone threw something at Prince Andrew's car or something or other. But I'm pretty sure the riot in March (well, not really a riot but more like protest/march) was about public service cuts. It was mostly peaceful and it was mostly older people but some anarchists destroyed some shops on Oxford High Street, or around that area.
