I bought a book
 

from Amazon Marketplace recently and it just arrived today.


I checked who sent it and it was from the author. o_o

I wonder how much Amazon takes for the author to want to compete with Amazon...

He even gave me a bookmark for his website inside the book. lol

What you mean by the author compete with Amazon?

I never really noticed.. but do products usually come straight from Amazon?

Amazon sells the book. But in the Amazon Marketplace, the author is selling the same book for cheaper.

Ooo.. I think Amazon has quite a thorough marketing strategy..

It could be coz they want to promote the market place, so they offer cheaper stuff there.. or to sell books for cheaper then try get the review ratings up..

I've seen a kindle book sold for $0.99, then like 2 weeks later, I went back and saw it for $6~ Lucky I bought it when it was $0.99 xD

Yeah, amazon sells really cheap. I bought an act prep book for $10, $4 was S&H though. The same book goes for $20 at B&N. Only downside is that the estimated arrival time is August 8-23 -_-. I wanted it asap so I could start studying.

.-. I'm not allowed to buy online.
