DCU Reboot
Looks like they're going to make Superman gay. Or at least bisexual.
----- Lee: I'm also married, and I love it! So I don't think this is a knock against marriage. That said, marriage brings about a certain degree of comfort and security in one's life. If you have a life partner, you always have someone to rely on. So from a story conflict point of view, it makes for a less dramatic story. I think a lot of writers can agree that one of the most dynamic periods of Superman's history was that period where there was a love triangle between Clark Kent, Superman and Lois Lane. There's a lot of tension and interest you create in the characters by having that kind of dynamic. We're not doing exactly that love triangle. We're introducing other elements into it. Through that, we're really updating who the character is and making Superman a character that you think you know, but maybe not. We have some surprises up our sleeves. And I think Grant has some incredible ideas about not only what he wants to do with Superman but Clark Kent, and really updating the whole mythology so that people can relate to it on a more personal level. -- from Newsarama http://www.newsarama.com/comics/dcnu...52-110719.html |
I heard about that, on TMZ of all places. But what they said was that for the first time in awhile, he wouldn't be with Lois Lane in any way. But they were never technically together (according to them).

It's not entirely clear how they're going to reboot everything, seeing as some continuity will be carrying over from the Batman and Green Lantern books. So it won't be a Final Crisis type total reorder of the world. It's supposed to be revealed in the final Flashpoint book coming out soon.
