Black Friday

I'm not sure if this is purely an American phenomenon or not so for those that might not know of the evil that is Black Friday. Here's some examples:

It's pretty ridiculous to me and not uncommon for people to get really hurt, trampled and occasionally (very rarely) die.

So... just curious if anyone here will be braving the stores tomorrow? I'm most definitely not leaving my home as I hate shopping and I hate crowds, so extreme amounts of both at once isn't my idea of a good time.

Haha, heck no. @_@ Well, my dad wants to so we can get a new couch as ours is old... Though, i think it's fine (I can nap on it with ease), but I'm the kind of person who uses things until they break... The kind of broken where it would be too dangerous to use it again. o-o I still keep old clothes with holes/stains if the hole is in an unnoticeable area to wear around the house. xD

Lol, my friend called me at like 11 last night, and was like "OMG R U U GOIN TO BLACK FRYDEI???".

me and my parents went last year. my autn and uncle were gonna go this year because of this really good sell at best buy but when we drove by at 10pm the line was already going around teh side of the building so we told them and they changed their mind. they keep it pretty orderly around here. the sheriff sets up boundaries so people can't try to cut in line and keep an eye on everyhting. they have k9 units and everything out there.

Lol, I went out today. My mom and I went on a quest for a Wii D: couldn't find one ANYWHERE. But we spent about $200 on toys. Later tonight we're going to get our tree. I know.. its early, but its tradition! Going on 10 years now.

It's possible to get some really good deals if you're willing to put up with all the crap. I think they'd have to be giving away free cars or something for me to deal with that mess. Even then I may just not think it'd be worth it xD

Also, we put our tree up like last week, lol. It was very early, but we had nowhere to hide gifts so we just set it up and put the stuff under there already.

We can't put gifts under our tree until X-mas eve D: we got two hyper-active cats that will claw at them, and its too tempting for the kids. And the kids will actually pretend that they're just looking at it, and accidently tear the paper.

Pritcher 11-23-2007 09:58 PM

Haha, my cat isn't destructive at all, but in the time between when I first set the tree up and before the presents went under, she laid claim the space under the tree. She was pissed when we shooed her out from under there to put gifts in and actually hissed at my sister, lol. I went back and rearranged so she has like a little fort in there now.

The kids are another story, but they know better than to mess around and risk getting in trouble around Christmas time.
