I thought it wasn't supposed to start until 6pm local time. I thought the first place to see it would start at 11pm PST.

According to Camping, it will be 6pm local time everywhere. Its supposed to roll across the earth. Total lulz.

Edit: Looks like we may have dodged this bullet. I haven't heard any reports yet.
