Outspark is Looking for More GMs!

Greetings to the Fiesta Community!

I've got some great news that I'd like to deliver which, at the same time, may address some questions commonly asked by many of you.

In short, we're looking for some interns to become our newest Outspark GMs, and what better place to look for people who can familiarize themselves with our community and the games we publish than the people who are already a part of our community and play our games. We'd like to extend this opportunity for those of you who are enthusiastic about what we're working on getting accomplished and would like to become part of a dynamic, growing, close-knit, and fun-loving team.

Those who are applying through this channel MUST be aware of the job and our expectations. Essentially take yourself outside of the aspect of the game itself and ask yourself if you'd like to try and spark an exciting career in the gaming industry.

This is essentially a contract based internship with the title of Jr. Game Master, which, based on performance, has the possibility to evolve into an extended contract or even a full-time role.

At this time we are only looking for individuals who can commute daily to our headquarters in San Francisco, California.

- Appropriate communication skills in project management cross departmental.

- Appropriate communication skills in publisher to developer relationship.

- Community and game management.

- Game marketing, sales and demographic analysis.

- Software quality assurance.

- Game industry best practice.

- Game service operations.

and much more!
The job description itself is as follows:

Duties and Responsibilities

Quote:

- Establish yourself as a positive role model for users in game and in the forums.

- Maintain an in-game administrative presence and enforce game policies and Terms of Service.

- Be a friendly and informative resource for the company’s user base and each gaming community.

- Assist in the brainstorming, creation, planning and execution of community events and future content.

- Utilize in-game interactivity and social networking to help maintain relationships and communications.

- Compare and contrast competitor updates and events.

- Become a primary communication conduit between the company's user base and Outspark personnel.

- Analyze user base trends and review feedback and communicate findings to the product team.

- Work closely with Product Managers and other team members to ensure that scheduled deadlines are met on time.

- Work closely with other departments to ensure overall product quality and service are met.

- Report on a daily and weekly basis about game status and daily operations.

- Update specific HTML based databases as needed.
Desired Qualifications

Quote:

- Must be at least 18 years old.

- Two or four year college degree preferred but not required.

- Fluency in the English Language, both oral and written.

- Possess a basic understanding of the gaming industry and social networking.

Basically the inability to keep many GMs for prolonged periods of time, and due to various reviews of their customer service, combined with poor game coding (that really waste your resources), that sums it up to... I should shut up now, heh.

But then again, everyone's a strategist while gazing at a game of football from the stands.

Any sort of customer service job lets you have a taste of how horrible people can be. Add to it the fact that many of your users are anonymous children and I couldn't imagine it paying enough.

Eh, 3 years placed into a customer service job and you just learn to keep a straight face and sometimes put /ignore on ignoramuses.
