The BOT-SLAUGHTERING SESSION.

As many of u know, dreamheaven is a bot in Moonlight Tomb. Many of us weeped, begged, killed just to get her off the map. And now, THERE'S FINALLY A WAY!

Lesson 1: THE MOB.

Nooo. we're not getting a train. We'll be getting.. * drumrolls * GHOST SLIME!
;DDD This mob have a great attack and high hp. Now here's the steps of how to get rid of bots. XD

Wait until the target is locked on before luring ghost slime. Many lifes have perished due to target running away! However, they are our INSPIRATIONS.
Lurer should be either archer/cleric/fighter+cleric

Get bot to start following ghost slime. Meanwhile, DO NOT ATTACK. All mobs [i think] attack ppl w/ the highest damage dealing and hence, the ghost slime will follow bot after bot deals more damage than u do [ dun do anything except run around, and enjoy the show ].

Bot deals dmg to ghost slime here.. and..

ALAS! Bot dies. XDDD
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q...eenshot133.jpg
However, bots can be respawned at elderine/reved. This is the sad but true part . Oh well. At least we had fun. ;D

^^ Just the right way to deal with auto-targetting scripts. On a side note, I have encountered some that only target specific monsters, and would not take my bait =(

Heh, cool. It's always satisfying to kill off a bot, but it's ultimately futile until Outspark takes real measures to fix the problem. This touches on a bot(killer)-related experience I had last night

I don't want to defend bots and I'm not going to, but seriously some of the self-appointed train pulling bot killers out there are more annoying than the actual bots. It's cool when someone, or a group like you guys, actually know what they're doing, but half the time it's just some jackass trailing trains of mobs around the map causing more problems for people than the bots do. Bots are annoying and KS, but some of these guys get people killed.

Also, the automatic assumption that a quiet cleric is a bot irritates me. I went in and played on my cleric for about an hour last night when I got home. I was killing in burning hills and chattering away in whisper box with someone when next thing I know like 80 bats and gold slimes are all over my ass. I ended up scroll porting back to Roumen. I wasn't kill stealing I was just quietly doing my thing.

I went back and waited around and heard people shouting complaints about someone pulling trails of mobs and getting them killed, so I said something and the guy said he was killing the botters. He said he asked me if I was a bot and since I didn't answer he assumed I was. He asked in normal chat though and I was in whisper, so I never noticed it. I've also been killed by trains on my archer and mage as well just because I was unlucky enough to be in between the bot and the jackass trying to kill it. It's honestly more irritating than the kill stealing to me.

O_o

People do that? I don't mind quiet people until they start KSing ... and even then I wait for quite a few mobs before deciding that they are bots.

But honestly, Pritcher, if I was that person and I tried to talk to you and IF you were KSing me, I would've ran a train over you. If you weren't KSing me ... that's a different matter. But I'd assume that if I keep on trying to talk to one person and standing beside that person with a speech bubble over my head asking if they're bots, and they don't respond, I would say that they are a bot. I understand something of what the person was thinking, but that all depends on whether you were KSing them or not. KS = bots. No KS = good people that don't deserve to be killed.

Like I said, I wasn't kill stealing and never do. Also, I turn the chat bubbles off in options because they cause too much screen clutter. Try to whisper someone first before assuming they're a bot. xD

There's a simple way to test whether someone is controlled by a script.

When you see the character in concern approaching a monster, start attacking it first to pull it towards you. Naturally the character will start following. Do this several times and make your judgement based on their reaction. If they repeatedly follow a long way out without a word... you can be pretty sure you're dealing with a script.

Declaring somebody a bot just because they are quiet is awfully stupid. *Escalate the train rage* xP

My friend have a bot thingy program(what is it called?) that will only target what ever you want and pick up what ever you want. I told him he shouldn't use it, but he use it

Haha. If you really don't like him using it. Tell him that you'll report him if he continues.

Anyway, I've reported 5 bots up till now and never saw them again the day after I reported them. So if you report her with like *counts on screenshot* 10 players, she should get banned instantly.
