Recommendations
I've been thinking for awhile about getting myself a desktop but honestly have no idea what I should be looking for. As you all can guess I'd like to get one that can play most games in high settings and figured that if it can do that it'll be good enough for any graphics work.
Some suggested building one but even if it is "relatively easy" and my bf saying he'll do it I know I can't bother with the homework and he isn't going to do it anytime soon. So any recommendations and/or key specs I should be looking at? |
id say best thing is to do look at like ncix.com at wut they
got or ibuypower.com those have rly good comps and u can look at the parts from there or order one from those places and add other parts that u might want |
As far as online retailers go, I like newegg.com and tigerdirect.com.
What price range are you shooting for? |
Preferably something under 1200.
And yeah, I'd rather not build anything... just option to upgrade if need be later. |
Well I'll say DON'T GET ALIENWARE. I haven't had any experience with it myself, but I've heard about tons of people that have had it, and even though it was great while it lasted, it broke after maybe a year or a few months. I think it isn't worth the great time you have with it, unless you wanna spend a ton on a longer warranty and later have to pay full price for repairs...

ALIENWARE is shit end of story
|
I don't know the name already screams no to me, lol.

Alienware is Dell's "high-end" gaming label. In the end, it's still a Dell. Let me look around a bit, see what's available.

ibuypower
You can pick loads of models starting @ 500 and upgrade them, probably only 200 bucks more and you can have a pc that will run anything. Their GFX cards also have examples of the FPS they run high end games @ |
Cool, thanks.
