Blizzard

Nothing makes me more fucking angry then their staff .... period.

Rightclaw 12-31-2010 12:52 AM

Why? Don't they have a reputation for having good customer service?

MikeyG 12-31-2010 12:58 AM

You are spoken to by every GM like you are from medieval times, even if you ask them politely to speak normal.

My acc hasn't been used or touched in a year, yet I get emails every 3rd day saying my account has been comprimised and I should verify my info.

So today I get an email saying my account has been banned because i am " attempting to sell my account " yet I've had nothing to do with it for so long..

I told the idiot GM to go check the fucking IP adress and he simply replied in his stupid medieval language ...

"Fare Thee Well,

Game Master Dunarthra
Customer Services"

When I did play WoW I had to call there services SO MUCH, because there in-game GM's were absolute fucking garbage, and their online tech never helped me. Also multiple times on the phone I had to ask to speak to another "representative" because they are just down syndromes...

Destrus 12-31-2010 01:32 AM

are you sure that was real? i've been getting those emails too and i don't even have a wow account. the only ones i've had before were trial accounts and i don't think they even exist anymore.

Strange because the links do take me to my battlenet account without me having to log in, though I never got an investigation email, just straight to the "frozen", which my account also says on battle net o-o

I don't give a rats behind about the acc, more so that blizzards fucking around .. but who knows it could be fake?

but on top of the links they also provide you with the right phone numbers etc ... don't see what anyone could gain by faking these.

Destrus 12-31-2010 01:43 AM

the links shown are the correct blizzard links but clicking them in the email actually sends you to a different place. like this:

MikeyG 12-31-2010 02:15 AM

I know but mine take me to the battle.net site o-o

Destrus 12-31-2010 02:42 AM

oh, yours is probably real then if it takes you to the actual site.

Rightclaw 12-31-2010 03:54 AM

I keep getting those fake emails too. Haven't played on retail WoW in a very long time. o-------o

"Greetings,

Thank you for contacting us regarding this issue. However, the e-mail which you are contacting us about was not sent by our Account Administration Department, and appears to be a "phishing" e-mail attempting to obtain your account information. These e-mails are NOT from Blizzard. All account actions and inquiries will have the return address of Wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com; these phishing e-mails, in most cases have the return address of something close that may be overlooked if you are not paying close attention, or they will disguise the return address but redirect your reply. Please note that Blizzard employees will NEVER ask for your account password.

We encourage you to keep the following security tips in mind when playing World of Warcraft on any computer:

- Use up-to-date firewall, antivirus, and anti-spyware software to scan your system regularly for viruses, Trojans, and key-loggers.
- Keep your operating system and other software up-to-date and be careful when downloading new software.
- Be wary of "spoof" and scam websites and e-mails that pose as Blizzard Entertainment and request account or personal information.
- Use separate, unique passwords for your email, World of Warcraft, and any other online accounts.
- Change your passwords regularly and keep World of Warcraft account information updated using the Account Management page at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/.

Additionally, we recommend following the Security Checklist on our Account Security site at http://us.battle.net/security/.

Thank you for your time and patience in this matter and your continued interest in World of Warcraft.

Yet It's funny how these "fake" emails are directing me right to battlenet, is that so they can use a keylogger on my pw or something?
