Will you make the switch?

I'm definitely going to give it a go. Like the name and the fact that it's supposedly aesthetically better too? :)

i had to look up the name cause i knew it referred to something else but couldn't remember what >_<

If it has better privacy features, yeah I would. LOL

Yeah, that's their main selling point.

Facebook's privacy settings... well... yeah...

I still don't get whats wrong with FB's private settings. People can't even find me on FB through search.

I don't mind if they do find me randomly by seeing me on a friend's wall because I probably know them xD

They can't type in any email of mine and find me. When I want to add someone from like my guild on the pserver, I honestly have to like redo all my settings, have them find me, and customize my settings all over again. And I love the fact you can edit certain settings and make it so only certain people can't see it.

My mom can't see my statuses and other things I put up x3

I agree with liz, I definetly won't switch, cause everyone I know, and will know, uses facebook. Just a simple tool of communication.

I don't actually use FB since they changed a while back. Can't be bothered with it so I just have everything set to only friends can see anything.

Parents don't know how to use it and probably wouldn't bother with it anyway so not about to change that for em. Lol.

Apparently they're gonna make it so you can connect via popular networking sites and find friends that also use Diaspora.

I dunno... to use another social networking site to counter another social networking site...

I don't really know what's so "anti" about it xD

But that's probably like how I'm Anti Apple and will opt for any other device that has the same function as an iPhone only with a different label on it LOL

I think this must be how our parents feel. I can't help but think "Damn kids and their social networking sites...get off my lawn."

Loveless 08-30-2010 01:05 AM

Lol
