Anyone familiar with Outlook?
 

Outlook emails are store as a .ost file, I believe.

Does anyone know if you can retrieve one email out of the backed up file, rather than restoring the whole file?

Isn't outlook just hotmail without going to the internet?

You can try there but usually when you back-up something you'd have to restore the whole thing first unless you saved it on a CD individually and not into one big file.

I found out that you can add a data file, and the backed up folders will sit under the default folder..

Outlook is what retrieves your email from the email provider that you use. Meaning, hotmail, gmail, yahoo or any other one.

My dad has always used Outlook. Well, now he uses thunderbird, I think.

But yeah. I'm pretty sure thats right.

Pretty sure you cannot retrieve your e-mails without going on the internet.
