I'd say it would apply to Lady GaGa as well, but there is a strange amount of adults that like her music. I can't really get that, unless they're still of an age where club-going is popular. Upon reflection, I listened to some absolute shit as long as I had a few drinks in me and I could dance to it.

My niece is 6 and already going through the same thing. She adores the Disney princesses, but she gets picked on by her classmates for liking them. So one day she came to me and told me she wanted a Hannah Montana backpack for Christmas (she has a disney princess backpack). She doesn't even watch or listen to that girl. I asked her why, and she straight up told me that her classmates said that the princesses are for babies and that they all like Hannah Montana.

^That's everything that's wrong with society. Grade-A crap. Hopefully your neice sticks to what she likes and can find some friends who will stick with her.
