I did a Window XP -> Windows 7 installation
without ANY backup. So all my files are in the graveyard now.

From your sig, which do you recommend me to use, provided its free.

Avast! Free antivirus works pretty well.

Well, Avast is the antivirus, Threatfire is more of an antivirus "backup" program that usually doesnt get in conflicts with other security software, Spybot S&D is targeted at spyware removal, McAfee is just a site analyser.

You can install all of them, they are not going to conflict with each other.

Oh damn that sucks =/ Personally I just use AVG and it works fine.

i use AVG but then was told after my comp died that Avast was better...
