Guy who does the presentation is annoying though... but cool new thing.

I kind of think its dumb..

It's apparently just a giant iPhone.. xD But I dont think you can make calls with it..

haha yeah just another money grab, I'd take a netbook over it anyday.

Yeah, if anything, don't get the first generation of any technology...

Maybe the 3rd-4th generation would be worth getting.. you'd just be a beta tester if you buy anything new like that.. xD

Sucks that they don't have a camera. I'd rather wait for the next version that has a camera in it to buy it. I liked the rumored name "iSlate" much better than iPad. I don't really get what they are trying to do with this though. I'm guessing it's mainly for internet browsing so if you don't need stuff like microsoft word or whatever you'll get this? The pricing is really really good though. So I guess if a macbook pro is out of your price range you should get this.

I think you can read a book with it? I can sure browse FF much better with that size LOL

Yeah, I think in the next 5-10years books are all going to be digitalized. There was a lot of eBooks in CES and CES usually shows the future. The only bad thing with this is that some people like having the physical book and the piracy issues. Cool concept to.

When I read this thread title, I thought it was a an apple parody of a...uhm, yeah.

Well I thought that the thing about "I love flipping a page" is for people that.. grew up with paper books..

the new generation (babies born now) will probably not care about the "feeling of a page"..

Privacy issue could probably be dealt with.. maybe with a xD (I got one for my iPhone but it was too thick for it to work smoothly.. but technology can probably make it thinner..)
