Air France-KLM has announced it will begin charging larger customers almost double the standard price of a ticket.

I reckon it's fair that bigger people that needs TWO seats should pay more for their seat..

I personally don't see it as discrimination coz they're basically asking the airline to give them a free seat..

Unless they have special medical reasons, I think big people need to stop taking all the space for granted and pay more! Maybe they'll consider watching their weight more if it's more inconvenience for them!

(no offence to anyone that's large..)

If the obese people need two seats to sit down then sure charge them for the second seat, but if it's just a weight limit, ie. Even though they could quite comfortabley sit on one seat they are being made to buy a second seat due to weight then I think thats wrong...

Looks like the original story was wrong.

That's the same as what my article say? I just.. took the exaggerated sentence as a summary here xD

I was discussing this with someone yesterday.. their weight limit was 250lb.

Can someone of 250lb fit in 1 seat? I suppose you get some muscular people that are 250 who could probably fit in 1 seat.. in which case I agree with BDEX..

It's almost exactly the opposite of what your story said, LOL. They're not forcing people to buy extra seats, they're giving them the option to buy a second one for 75% of the original price and then if the plane is underbooked, they'll give you a refund for it.

I'm about 230 and I have no problem at all fitting into an airplane seat. Then again, I'm slightly taller than average. It all depends on body morphology.

I guess the logic way is to measure their waist line xD But that seems much more personally than weight..

Ohh key word "forced"... fair enough.. I'm not particularly surprised by my source being wrong LOL!
