Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester
 

Just found out about this great German group that covers modern songs in a 1930's-influenced style. I think if the arrangements were a little more faithful to sound period they were shooting for, they'd be perfect. It's a little on the processed side. They're still really amusing, though.

i've only listened to "Tainted Love" so far, but it seems quite nice.

I'm always a fan of unusual cover songs.
