My laptop = phailing

So this weekend I was updating and cleaning my laptop. I installed a windows update, restarted and it wouldn't start up. It would go into recovery start up mode or something and I couldn't get it to go in normal mode. So I let that thing scan it 1000000 times and it couldn't come up with a solution. So I decided I'd put it back to the settings when I bought it (stupid me didn't have a recovery point) thus losing all I had on my C drive (which wasnt a whole lot though). I either needed back up discs or a password. I couldn't remember changing a password for that and the standard one didn't work so I decided to use the discs which I knew I had somewhere cos I did a wipe before. However, they weren't in my laptop bag, where I've had them for ages... I ransacked the whole house looking for those discs and eventually I found them between my cds (I mean how much more logical could the place be? >.<). So I wiped, resetted and it worked.

Until yesterday. I came home from work, watched some Dr. Who with my dad and decided to get it down and do some stuff with it. I went to my room, got it, went downstairs and plugged it in only to find out the adapter has died on me. This happened before (for some reason I always get this problem with laptops) but this time no more warranty to fall back on. Eventually I bought a new one for €40 which isn't too bad considering I found another one for €100 (and it's way less than a new laptop anyways).

So it's working for now, but I dunno what will happen next T_T
