Switch between headphones and speakers without having to plug in and out the wires.
I have no idea why only plugging into the back can work. but plugging into the front of my computer doesnt seem to have any reaction.

I've never had problems with my RealTek setup. Even has a nice little settings manager in Control Panel. Let's me control the input/output of each jack individually.
