so I got this oral presentation due after thanksgiving break

For government class. We have to choose a topic that has something to do with the Federal Government.

So far I'm thinking of doing a presentation over:
  • Why the Federal Reserve is unConstitutional
  • How the Supreme Court has been failing us

Give me some suggestions plox.

I'd be interested in hearing the reasons of why you think the Fed is unconstitutional.

There are tons of issues you could speak on:

The Electoral College, is it still needed?

Does the Commerce Clause really grant the extensive powers to the Federal Government that the courts has ruled it does?

Should the Federal Government be able to hire mercenaries to do the work of our military?

To which branch of the Government does the Vice President belong? (Seems obvious, but during the last administration it was argued that the office was actually part of the legislative branch...)

Mainly because the Constitution gives Congress the power to regulate our money, not privately owned banks who are not overseen by Congress. Nor does it permit Congress to forfeit it's power to another entity. Plus I've never heard a sound argument that would lead me to believe that the Fed is Constitutional, but I can always change my mind if I do~

Interesting. I've always thought the electoral college was rather useless, and would much rather the President be elected by popular vote.

Hmm....I would think he belonged to the executive AND the legislative branches since he's the head of the Senate. Is he officially only part of the executive branch though?
