Who knows anything about ringtones?
How can I get a song that I have on iTunes or just a regular mpeg and turn it into a ringtone for my phone?
Or... a trusted ringtone phone site? xD |
What model of phone do you have and do you have an internet plan/bluetooth?
|
I have bluetooth... No data plan.

I got a $10 bluetooth USB dongle and send mp3s to my phone, which it reads natively. They have to be under a certain file size for me to use it as a ringtone, but it isn't hard to re-encode it to a low bitrate, mono version.

Capable of creating ringtones from uploaded files or browser links. You will need a USB cable or a bluetooth device for transfer though. |
before you go buying stuff check your phone first. not all phones can get ringtones transfered to them so easily. such as with verizon you can't just transfer files to a folder on the phone that you can see to use as a ringtone. you have to have a program that can find/knows where it goes to send it ot the phone. i've been using bitpim.
then you also have to make sure your phone can connect to your computer and have files transfered to it. i know there's some phones that don't allow that (at least not without whatever software it is they have) so they force you to jus tbuy ringtones from them. another option (not sure if it works with all companies/phones, haven't done it in a long time) is to send the file to your phone through email. depending on the phone it might let you save the sound and use it as a ringtone. |
