general questing questions
 

Here is the scenario.... my cleric is out (solo) fighting a monster needed to complete a quest and I've just about killed it when along comes someone else who attacks it and "helps" me kill it. I don't get the credit for the kill. Does this other person get it or do neither of us get it?
Also, does healing someone fighting like this deny them the kill? (If they are not in your party).

The kill goes to whoever gets the last hit in.

That is called KS or kill steal. It is against the TOS (terms of service) and is a bannable offense theoretically.

Because of the low damage a cleric has they are the easy class to KS.\

KS is bad form as is leetching, those that do it will find it more and more difficult to find a party.

If I see a member of my party KS for any reason (even if it be "they KS first!")I will not heal them. They generally get the message.

I think niether of you would get the kill, but he might have got it idk. If he ran off after killing it he got it, but if he stayed around he probably didnt.

If someone ever wants to "help" you with a quest just send them a party invite. You can help them get the kill if they need it.

But if the guy just wants to mess with people, tough luck. Next time get a screenie and report them.

Healing someone that's not in your party does not deny their kill. It might take the aggro of the mobs off them and onto yourself, though.

No. sometimes they dont get it. sometimes neither gets it...cause they stand around after and want to party me for the kill.

Fiesta make a rule, that the one who does the most damage(or party) should get the kill.
