finally i know what song i want to use :D

so there's another scene i have to do for acting. it's a another two person scene and although i havent' had the chance to work with my partner yet (i think he was gone all weekend) i want to try to change it into a fight scene.

thing is i know we'll be kinda limited in what we can do but i wanted ot have soem music in the background. i was going through my music the entire weekend, over and over again but i just couldn't think of anything. i didn't want to use linkin park (though i kinda liked the thought of using points of authority for a fight scene i think). i was thinking maybe green day but i couldnt' figure out anything.

then yesterday devi sent me the 9 trailer (i had seen it multiple times before but forgot) and there it was. that song can make just about anything look epic. now i just need to get my partner to agree on it... but i still havent' heard from him >_>

"O Fortuna" from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana makes anything sound epic.

also true. but i think the epic type needed for the scene i have in mind is handled nicely by welcome home

I've found that this song has come in handy for certain monologues. Not really epic, but it is rather moving. It has a great American folk feel to it even though it's a relatively modern composition. Ken Burns used it in Civil War quite a bit.
