They're making new Monkey Island games. This is the same company that did the new Sam & Max stuff, which was amazing. I'm excited.

If you haven't played the originals, go find them. Monkey Island I and II are legendary.

o.o I never heard of them. They do sound fun to play plus someone from the internet is recommending it, so why not?

sam and max ftw!!!!

I think I played one of those games... It was something like 'Monkey Island: Legend of the Black Cat' or something... I got bored xD

Hraesvelg 06-03-2009 06:20 AM

Pirates: Legend of the Black Kat has NOTHING at all to do with Monkey Island aside from a basic pirate theme. Monkey Island is a classic and hilarious point-and-click adventure series from LucasArts.

Highly recommended huh must check it out...

hey whats up with the episodes?? Was that in the original?

Hraesvelg 06-11-2009 07:53 PM

The first games didn't have specific episodes. They were all self-contained. The episode idea did work well with Sam and Max, though. They weren't quite as long as one of the original games, but they were long enough to contain a plotline. I'm a little worried about the art direction, but if the script retains the funny, I'll get over it.
