Okay, the movie isn't THAT good.

yep, won every category they were in
except best music
but i'm sure they would have if it was original and made for the movie

the movie was decent, but not nearly as good as everyone makes it out to be. it was average- 3/5 stars. and that's being generous.

What sucks is that movies like this get so much attention, but good movies dont get any attention at all.

Good movies do get attention. Just not when its teen choice.

Donnie Darko certainly didnt. it did HORRIBLY in the box office. luckily it has a cult following, or i wouldnt have heard of it.

Anyways, I'm not talking about 8yrs ago. /shrug

Today, too. Only random indie movies are ever picked. Juno, and Napolean Dynamite are the only low budget indie movies of the last few years that have gained any popularity.

And how much do you REALLY think has changed in the film industry in 8 years?

A lot can change in a year soo yeahh... o: Maybe not a lot has changed in 8yrs but still. Some movies you like, probably the majority of the US/World don't and that could include critics. So its.. ehh.

What I'm trying to say, I guess, my opinion or your opinion on a movie doesn't matter to those who actually hand out the awards. Nor do our opinions matter when a movie is popular or not. :3
