A lot more fun than I thought it would be.

Tomorrow is Haitian flag. Today, however, was the celebration at my school.

Basically it was:
-Singing/Dancing
-Some Miss Caribbean pageant
-Food
-Talking about how people are treated in Haiti
-Talking about what happened to some of their countrymen in the last week
-Other things to do with Haiti

^Most of that should be obvious, lulz.

I had a lot more fun than I thought I would. Yeah, I couldn't understand what people were saying/singing on stage but.. it was fun 8D Plus, I got more volunteer hours in. I saw like 3-5 people students that I actually like, and hung out with one of the other volunteers who I knew from the last two times I volunteered.

I got hugged by the same person about 5 times <3

&& Haitian music has some good beats. Yuh.

My feet are killing me though. I should not have worn new shoes xD

Nah. You had to pay for it. I went upstairs to the vending machine(Didn't want to wait in the line) and got myself a powerade. I also got a bag of chips but that was covered by the other volunteer's mom.

I had those early on though. 'Cause, I got there at 4:30pm, got my powerade. Drank it in like an hour. Then 30mins later I got the bag of chips. I was there for a good 2-3hrs without anything to drink or eat.

Oh. I totally got a free shirt out of it. Of course, it says Haitian Heritage Month and says 2008 on it.. but hey.. xDD

Ohh I didn't expect it to be free.. though that would be nice xD

In High School we use to have these thing called Multicultural day, and we get to try different food from different cultures and it was so cool!

I'm hungry...

And that got thrown to the trash can by, I believe, the damn new principle. Stupid old man. I've only got 1 memory of it. That was probably in year 7.

They need something like that in my old school district.

Maybe it'd help some of those hicks have some respect for other cultures O<

keke well it worked well for our high school coz i think only about 20% of the people are actually Aussies.. we are situated in a very multicultural suburb xD

And we can bring outside frds in too! I remembered a friend brought her god-brother along and she said "hey you should try some Gelato" and he goes "Oh that sounds hot, what is it?" LOL that's a joke I'll never forget...
