Soloing with a Cleric
 

Hey just experimenting with a solo cleric build, any recommendations for stats/skills?

I think the thought is if you are going to be a solo cleric than you should be All STR.

Some may say 25 SPR rest STR.

As a cleric if you are by yourself you will need the STR to kill.

Now I keep hearing all over the forums about this 25 SPR thing, what is the advantage to using it and which classes/builds should it apply to?

25 SPR adds 5% crit I think it is. After that it doesn't add as much crit/sp.

I use it for any damage build, like, my archer is 25 SPR full STR, and my mage is 25 spr full INT. My cleric has it too, but I'm not sure why... :P Since I'm a support cleric.

But yes, if you really want to be a support cleric (even with full STR they kill the slowest of any class without CS or full +9s, etc...) 25 SPR full STR is probably a good build.

ok so my hybrid fighter is like 80-90% end, 10-20% Str, should I put 25SPr on him or is that not worth it since I usually tank but I also solo alot too

25 spr will add 5% crit for any class. That is, each point to spr adds .2 crit.
After 25 each point adds .1 crit so there is less added value and is the reason most plp stop at 25 spr.

Soloing a cleric of any build post buff (lev 47) is not bad so long as you dont bite more than you can chew. Dont expect to be able to do what a fighter can do and go for somthing 15 levels above you reguardless of your build. Let the quests be your guide to what areas you should work in.

A cleric can solo just about anywhere and perhaps 10-12 levels above their level except some dungon quests and the bosses there. The only other place clerics have a problem is kidmon repeats at 84/84. Even a full end cleric can kill a kidmon that is isolated but because they heal each other (but not themselves) an end cleric will never be able to solo 2 kids close to each other.

Blue Violet is going for a lot of str, she will have 50 pt in str when she reaches 84, just to see if she can solo kidmon.

Would you wear Crit suits??

If you're likely to, go 25 SPR / Rest STR..

I love the crits on my cleric, I found it really helps kill stuff esp when we only Bash....
