what the hell is purge meant to do??
 

i got a new skill for my lv 37 wizmage and have no idea what it does... i read the blurb but still cant quite understand its advantages or use?? can any one help

its pretty much a pvp skill... you use it when you're fighting someone else. =P since it takes away all of their SP, (its helpful on clerics) they cant use skills for a short time xD (until they stone/ pot)

^It doesn't take away their SP, that's Mana Burn.


Purge removes the last buff applied on a targeted opponent, this can be a self-applied skill-buff like Resist or Endure, or scroll-buffs. There's also a lvl 79 spell, Spell Steal that removes the last buff and gives it to you instead.

It's amazingly irritating in the Abyss.

I'm not sure if the order is random or not, but if it's not random, I'm sure purge removes the first buff casted.

Spell Steal is probably the one that steals the last buff casted, but I haven't got that skill yet so I haven't seen it enough to know. I just know that mages often still my sacrifice, which I buff last. But I have a feeling spell steal is random.

Wasn't quite sure, but went off what's written in the wiki. It says Purge removes last buff casted but only says Spell Steal works with 50% chance.


I did always try to cast Stoneskin last though >D

Okie I just went to update the wiki. I checked with my skill and atm it says first buff casted. It must've changed or something.

yeah i think it is the first buff casted. o.o whenever a mage purges me it usually takes away protect since that's the first buff i cast XD

Do curse resistance necklaces and bless pots help to defend from the above?
