Diplomatic items
 

I see diplo items selling in the market for a few silvers.
And i'm wondering, why are they so important?
Do they really want reputation or is it something else?

There is a 12 part Diplomatic quest which requires you to get certain number of diplo items. Each tier gets you some treasure and apparently at the very end you receive some special prize... which I've heard range from nothing to a rare pet only obtainable by that quest. Some posts at the official say that it may be bugged but who knows.

If you're not interested in the quest it'd be nice to sell those items for a few silvers.

The prize for that quest is the lvl 30 rare weapon.

This a different quest which requires you to get the boss drops from the instances.
