Did you check the elements on your skills to spam? They're primarily Erda.

I know, but Pyra increases INT. Which is needed for skill spam...

I'm still level 3 or something so I still can change it... Another option I was thinking was:

MAX Erda, rest Oora

INT doesn't increase skill damage as much as the correct affinity.

if you plan on tanking you'll want your second stat to be the hp one i think. unless they've changed it the bosses are kinda a pain in the butt.
